| Founded
in Bodmin in 1970 by Mr.Roy Flowerdew, Wovina’s
first product was a woven name tape. Today we
still produce over 7 million premier quality
woven name tapes but also supply the Taggit,
an accessory to attach labels to garments. When
people purchase the Taggit, which replaces the
need to use a needle and cotton we extend the
length of the nametape to allow improved visual
presentation.
The Taggit is particularly useful where there is
a need for identifying multiple garments, boarding
schools and nursing homes, are particular examples.
We provide multi-purchase options to the schools,
one of which includes a rebate system with each
name tape purchased.
Developing into a leading manufacturer of woven
garment labels has only been achieved by consistently
providing a fast, cost effective solution to the
developing garment manufacturing trade within the
U.K.
In 1977 because of our inherent weaving skills
and our existing connections to schools, through
our name label business, Wovina created an embroidery
department to meet the needs of schools requiring
emblems or logos on there school wear.
Over time we have built up a list of premier
suppliers, of school wear garments, which enables
us to provide
a complete service to the schools. The embroidery
service has now been extended so we now provide
garments with logos to councils,
sports clubs and businesses.
